Direct Expeditions
We offer a choice of DofE Direct walking expedition programmes run by friendly and experienced leaders who specialise in DofE expeditions. These expedition programmes are ideal for individuals or small groups who are enrolled with DofE Direct.

Expedition Format
Zest for Adventure’s Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Direct Expedition Programmes comprise:

Training and Practice: 5 days

Qualifying: 5 days
​
The expeditions both involve carrying full expedition equipment and camping overnight. They are both compulsory: full and successful attendance at both of the required expeditions is necessary in order for participants to be eligible to complete the DofE Expedition Section. Any participants who miss either expedition will need to arrange to complete t at it later date or on an open expedition with another approved expedition provider.
Gold Direct Expedition Programme
The following Gold Direct Expeditions are currently scheduled. Additional expeditions will be added in due course.

Price: £480.00 (£400.00 + VAT) for the complete programme or £240.00 (£200.00 + VAT) for the Training and Practice Expedition and £240.00 (£200.00 + VAT) for the Qualifying Expedition.

Booking Process
Please download the booking form and complete electronically, then save a copy for your records and email back to us. As long as the form is sent from the email address given on the booking form, the signature may be typed. Payment should be made by bank transfer, using the participant's name as a reference.
