Zest for Adventure
Zest for Adventure is an outdoor education company staffed by experienced and enthusiastic adventure education instructors. During our years of exploring the outdoors, we have each travelled to many wonderful places and had many fantastic outdoor adventures.
Our mission is to introduce people of all ages to adventure activities, in a high-quality, safe and enjoyable outdoor experience.
We can provide a range of accredited outdoor education qualification programmes for both young people and adults. In particular, we can deliver the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Expedition Section at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. Zest for Adventure is a DofE Approved Activity Provider for Expeditions. We also provide the Countryside Leader Award.
DofE Expedition Provision
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) has the widest reach of any UK youth charity. A DofE programme is a real adventure from beginning to end. Zest for Adventure can offer a DofE Expedition Section programme at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels tailored to meet your requirements.
DofE Open Expeditions
We offer a choice of Bronze, Silver and Gold walking expedition programmes run by friendly and experienced leaders who specialise in DofE expeditions. These expedition programmes are ideal for individuals or small groups who cannot make their school’s dates or who don’t have a team to complete their expeditions with.
DofE Direct Expeditions
We offer a choice of DofE Direct walking expedition programmes run by friendly and experienced leaders who specialise in DofE expeditions. These expeditions programmes are all at Gold level anare ideal for individuals or small groups who are enrolled with DofE Direct.
Countryside Leader Award
The Countryside Leader Award (CLA) is for adults who wish to lead walks and camping expeditions in non-remote, lowland countryside. This corresponds with the recommended Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Bronze and Silver Expedition terrain. We offer both CLA Training and Assessment Courses.
In line with government regulations and advice, all expeditions are currently suspended. As long as it is safe and permissible to do so, we will resume expeditions with appropriate control measures in place on Monday 17 August. All affected participants and candidates will be contacted with full details once these have been confirmed. For the latest government information see Guidance for the public on the phased return of outdoor sport and recreation in England.
